    Topeka celebrates Law Day with a public program.
         Washburn University School of Law, Topeka Bar Association and the judges of the Kansas Third Judicial District are sponsoring Law Day 2019 at Washburn Law on May 1.  The day will include a Continuing Legal Education Course (CLE) in the Robinson Courtroom from 12:30 to 5 p.m. and a free public program from 6 to 8 p.m.     The theme for Law Day 2019 is “Free Speech, Free Press, Free Society,” with a focus on these cornerstones of representative governmentmore...

    65 Years after Brown v Board of Education

    Washburn Tech’s Recycled Rides program will hand over the keys to a brighter future at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, in Building K on the Washburn Tech campus at 5724 SW Huntoon St. Two refurbished vehicles will be presented to local families or organizations in need.
