         Washburn University’s Mulvane Art Museum has launched an exhibit and fundraising program designed to highlight some works from the permanent collection which rarely go on view to the public because they are “most in need of conservation,” according to the museum staff.    The artworks in the exhibit – “Endangered Art: A Reprise” -- represent some of the finest works in the Mulvane’s collection, according to Rebecca Manning, the museum’s collections manager.more...

         Gary Bayens, associate dean of applied studies at Washburn University, has been named interim dean of Washburn University Institute of Technology (Washburn Tech).          Topeka, Kan. – Phi Kappa Phi, a national honorary society, has awarded Washburn University graduate Whitney Bergman a national graduate fellowship.          Topeka, Kan. – Washburn University’s Board of Regents adopted a budget for the upcoming fiscal year at its regular meeting Wednesday, June 26.  The budget for the 2019/2020 fiscal year includes a modest 2.7 percent increase in tuition for Washburn University from $292 to $300 per credit hour.  Student fees remain unchanged at $55 per semester and that fee is passed on directly to the student government to support student activities on campus.     more...
