         Topeka, Kan. – Dr. Alexandra Klales, assistant professor of forensic anthropology at Washburn University, recently earned her American Board of Forensic Anthropology (ABFA) diplomate certification. As of 2018, there were only 119 ABFA board certified forensic anthropologists.          Topeka, Kan.—The Washburn University Leadership Institute will host a record-number 43 high school and college teams for the 2019 Leadership Challenge EventTM (LCETM) Feb. 28 and March 1. This is the ninth annual LCE the Leadership Institute has hosted.          Topeka, Kan. – More than 210 middle school and high school students from Topeka and surrounding communities will present on “Triumph and Tragedy in History” at Washburn University on Saturday, Feb. 23 in the District 3 History Day competition.
