    WHAT: Washburn University's fall 2018 commencement ceremony is Friday, Dec. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in Lee Arena. Doors open to the public at 5:30 p.m. and the ceremony is expected to last approximately two hours. No tickets are required.                    Topeka, Kan. – The Washburn University math department hosted 187 students from 21 local high schools for their annual Math Day, Nov. 13, 2018.          Washburn University gathered with representatives from Westar Energy today to announce a 20-year agreement for green energy produced by a new wind farm.  The university will be purchasing 4 megawatts of energy from the new 300-megawatt wind farm to be constructed in northeast Kansas.  That purchase will cover about 80 percent of the energy needs of the Washburn University and Washburn Tech campuses.  The new wind farm is expected to come online in the fourthmore...
