         Washburn University announced that it has selected the winners in the Be Ready Challenge entrepreneurship showcase in which 15 high school students had the opportunity to pitch new business ideas to a panel of judges. First place was awarded to Rachel Louise Taylor, a recent graduate of Shawnee Heights High School and current freshman at Washburn.          Students at Washburn University and Washburn Institute of Technology have three minutes to pitch a new business idea to a panel of judges in the Washburn Pitch Competition. Through a collaborative partnership with GO Topeka, $25,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to students with the top four presentations, the top freshman entry, and the top Washburn Tech entry.
