Prospective students can see education in action at the Washburn University Institute of Technology (Washburn Tech) Spring Open House from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 7, at 5724 SW Huntoon St. The come-and-go event is an opportunity for prospective students, friends and family to learn about training opportunities that can lead to career opportunities.
“Our Open House offers a unique opportunity to prospective students, allowing them to spend time in our labs and classrooms. They can see for themselves what hands-on, high-tech learning is all about,” said Clark Coco, dean, Washburn Tech. “Business and industry are actively recruiting high-quality, skilled workers. We believe we can place every student who successfully graduates from one of our 38 career programs.”
The Spring Open House is free and open to the public. Visitors may arrive at any time during Open House hours and are not required to register for the event, although large groups are encouraged to RSVP to the Washburn Tech Admissions Office by calling 785.670.2200.
