         Made of road kill, animal skulls, jawbones, pelts and skins, as well as body bags, bullets, tools and actual guns, the art works in Hallowed Absurdities: Work by Theodore Waddell raise the issue of the use of guns in our society.     Washburn University's Mulvane Art Museum welcomes a new exhibit this week of writings by Thomas Fox Averill and drawings by artist Clinton Ricketts.  The exhibit -- Garden Plots -- opens Friday, December 4 and remains at the museum through January 23, 2016.Garden Plots is a collection of short stories and poems inspired by Averill's visits to 21 gardens in 31 days during a trip to England and France.  An avid gardener, he became determined to find an idea for a short story with everymore...
