                Washburn University will host its eighth annual Wellness Fair on March 2 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.  The fair will be held in the Memorial Union on the Washburn campus and is expected to attract more than 50 vendors promoting local products and services as well as fitness demonstrations and presentations.          High school students in Brown, Jackson, Nemaha, and Shawnee counties can win scholarships in Washburn University’s Be Ready Challenge, a business pitch competition sponsored by the School of Business.                   The Spring Career Fair at Washburn University is drawing the strongest response from employers in years, according to Kent McAnally, Washburn’s director of career services.            “This year we’ve got 139 organizations registered to attend,” McAnally said.  “That’s the largest number I’ve seen in my ten years with the university.”   more...
