         Area Boy Scouts will embark on a new type of exploration at Merit Badge University from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 at Washburn University Institute of Technology (Washburn Tech), 5724 SW Huntoon St.     More than 80 scouts will try their hand at several badge topics such as surveying, cooking, automotive service and other skilled trades.     Chef Fuchsia Dunlop, James Beard Award winning writer and cook hosts “A Taste of China” workshop and gourmet Chinese buffet at Washburn University this Thursday
