    Media Instructions: Media must check in with event staff outside the Washburn Room, Memorial Union, before taking photographs. Students whose parents have signed a photography release will have specially marked nametags.

    Lab activities will take place 9:40-10:30 a.m. and noon to 12:50 p.m. in a variety of locations across campus including Stoffer Science Hall, Petro Allied Health Center, Henderson Learning and Resources Center and Morgan Hall. 

    Information and locations will be provided when you check in.

    The properties of microwaved marshmallows, designing an edible volcano and connecting electrical circuits are just a few of the 22 different labs designed to bolster an interest in science for seventh grade girls at the ninth annual Women in Science Day event on Tuesday, October 6 at Washburn University.
