Topeka, Kan. – American rock band Plain White T’s will headline the WU Stock concert Sunday, Sept. 24 at 7:00 p.m. in Lee Arena. Part of Washburn University Family Day Weekend, WU Stock tickets are available to all. Washburn student tickets are $5 and general admission tickets are $20. Tickets are available at wutickets.com.
Plain White T’s are best known for their No. 1 hit song “Hey There Delilah,” which achieved platinum status is 2007 and earned two Grammy nominations. Their most recent album, “American Nights,” was released in 2015 and they are currently writing new music.
WU Stock is a biennial concert at Washburn University. Plain White T’s will headline the concert with Honey County opening for them. Honey County is a female country trio rooted in vocal harmonies, southern twang, and pop hooks. Honey County has performed shows with artists including Chase Rice, Lee Brice, Jake Owen, and Easton Corbin. Rolling Stone named Honey County one of the "10 New Artists You Need To Know" for 2017.
