Washburn Tech is gearing up to host its 18th annual Car Show from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 5 at 5724 SW Huntoon St. Entry fees for the show, which is free to the public, is $15 prior to the event or $20 on the day of the show.

Car entries will be divided into five classes: custom/low riders, antique cars and trucks, muscle cars, motorcycles and special interest. Additional attractions include food, a live band, a heavy equipment rodeo, a car bash as well as a golf contest and other games. For information about entering the Car Show, contact Washburn Tech instructor Mike Evenson at 785.670.3432.

Washburn Tech offers more than 30 career programs in one of five divisions: Construction, Health Care, Human Services, Technology and Transportation. Short-term, continuing education courses also are available along with custom courses for business and industry. Washburn Tech, which serves both high school and adult students, has the highest graduation rate in the state as well as the highest placement rate.
