WHAT: Washburn University president Jerry Farley will announce the university’s United Way fund-raising campaign totals during an Alumni Association After Hours event cosponsored by the Washburn University Employee Wellness Program and United Way of Greater Topeka.
President and CEO of United Way of Great Topeka Miriam Krehbiel and others from the United Way of Greater Topeka office will be in attendance.

DETAILS: The focused Washburn University United Way campaign ran April 19 – May 13, 2016. During this time the Washburn University United Way committee, chaired by Washburn staff members Gayla Sarkesian and Janel Rutherford, hosted multiple events designed to drive awareness of United Way of Greater Topeka efforts and to raise funds to support those initiatives.
The Washburn University campaign is the “bridge” campaign for the United Way of Greater Topeka as Washburn helps wrap up their previous year’s activities while launching their new fiscal year donation cycle.
