Media Advisory: Washburn University’s Move-In Day is Aug. 17

Topeka, Kan. – Washburn University faculty and staff will begin welcoming students to campus Aug. 17 during Move-In Day. Washburn University president Jerry Farley will be helping students who are moving into the Living Learning Center, 9 – 11 a.m.

Who: Washburn University students, faculty, and staff. It’s a Washburn University family event to welcome our students for the new academic year!

What: Washburn University Move-In Day

When: August 17, 2017; 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.      

President Farley will be helping students 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Living Learning Center.

Where:

  • Lincoln Hall (off of 19th St.)
  • The Living Learning Center (adjacent to the Memorial Union, accessed via Jewell Ave. from 17th St.)
  • Washburn Village (off of Jewell Ave. from 21st St.)

 

Move-In Day is the start to five days of university-wide activities designed to help new and returning students become acclimated to campus, learn a little more about student life at Washburn, and hopefully make a few new friends.
