It is fitting that the debate be held at the law school as all three candidates are alumni of Washburn Law: Mike Kagay, '12; Keen Umbehr, '05; and Karen Wittman, '91.
What: Candidate debate, involving all three candidates for Shawnee County District Attorney, moderated by Shawnee County Counselor Rich Eckert
When: Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. - preceded by tours and a reception, detailed below
Debate Location: Washburn University School of Law (corner of 17th and MacVicar), Room 102
Prior to the debate, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) will host tours of the Forensic Science Center (2001 SW Washburn Avenue) at 3:30 p.m. At approximately 5:00 p.m., following the tours and before the debate, the TBA will host a brief reception with refreshments at the KBI Forensic Science Center.
We will then transition to Washburn University School of Law, Room 102 for the candidate debate at 5:30 p.m.
